Mix Description

Looking for a little more rock with your run? Get ready for an hour of rock royalty with everything from Queen to Kings of Leon. DJ Little Fever takes both classic and alternative rock, throws the two generations into battle, and then transforms them into an energizing and edgy alliance that puts the “r” in rock.

A Foo Fighters/Nirvana collaboration gets you pumped up from the start as you find your pace and ride the rhythm before a big “Woo Hoo!” from Blur, puts some fun in your run. Steve Miller Band, ZZ Top, Dire Straits, and Van Halen are a handful of classic names that join together before Queen rounds out the first 15 minutes with a version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” that would make Wayne and Garth proud.

Then the alternative bands take over, adding a more “in your face” tone to your run just when you need it. Linkin Park, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails and Rage Against the Machine take you to the half hour mark before classic rock takes over again. The rest of the mix is a battle between generations that unexpectedly works together to keep you moving - sort of when you hated your parents’ music and then realized it wasn’t so bad after all. Bob Segar, REM, Urge Overkill, U2, and the Gorillaz all collaborate in the last half hour to bring harmony to your run.

A Rush and Oasis mash-up takes you home, leaving you longing for some leather pants and a drum kit. (Or perhaps making you want to go punch your brother if you’re an Oasis fan.) Nonetheless, this is a mix that truly pays homage to the word, “rock,” allowing you to pay homage to your run.

Solid, solid mix. Great mix of tracks from older to newish. Definitely some DJ versions of songs that purists might not like, but it's not too overly remixed. Well done!

If I was able to hand pick sings I'd want in a mix this would be it! Perfect mixture of old and new and a great tempo! My only complaint is the DJs tag line is in the mix quite a bit. It's distracting.

Liked the mix of songs, but didn't like the way they were mixed...I felt like the transitions were choppier than other mixes of yours.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVVVV VE this mix! Love it love it love it. Great mix of old favorites and new rock. I can not get ENOUGH of the ROCK mixes! I especially liked your choice of the Nickelback song (I am not a Nickelback fan, but this particular song is motivating) and I liked Animal I have Become-- It's on frequent repeat on my own playlist. I always look forward to a rocking run mix that actually ROCKS. Give me less Hip hop and more of THIS!!! Thanks DJ Little Fever for a great mix! (I didn't even mind the taglines. When I use these mixes in my kickboxing or Boot Camp classes, people always ask me where I get them, and I figure you've earned your due credit on these :) ) Oh, also, thanks for keeping the mix clean. I don't need to hear the f-bomb and "sexy b*tch" to motivate me! And my classes appreciate it too.
